Choosing In Home Care Services for Seniors in New Jersey
No matter who you choose to help you with in-home care the goals are usually the same: to stay independent and in your home for as long as possible. While assisted living communities offer more ready access to support and social companionship, some seniors are not ready for that transition. Getting Started with Senior Home Care
We at the United Methodist Communities understand that being a senior does not have to mean losing your independence. Often times loved ones have work and family commitments and we don’t want to burden them by constantly asking for help. Our United Methodist Communities HomeWorks in home senior care program empowers you by allowing you to take care of yourself affordably while still maintaining your freedom and independence.
Your home health assistance can be for as long as you require on a full time or part time basis. We will work with you determine the best length of care. Our options include:
- Hourly Care
We can provide a health care worker for as little as two hours a day or up to 24 hours a day. We will work with you to come up with a schedule to accommodate your senior care needs.
- Overnight Care
For that extra support at night we provide home aides on overnight shifts to assist seniors who may have difficulty sleeping or just need evening companionship.
- Live-In Care
Live-in care provides the peace of mind that comes with having someone staying with you in the house at all times and also offers ongoing support that home health aides provide.
- Alzheimer’s/Dementia care
We can provide dignified and compassionate in home care for these sensitive needs which includes around the clock monitoring and safe support.
- Respite Care
Providing care for your loved one can be an exhausting and emotionally draining job. United Methodist Communities can provide a break for you respite care that is delivered at home, or in one of our assisted living facilities where access to many more services and socialization opportunities can be provided.
What does it cost per hour to hire a Senior Caregiver?
Hourly rates can start as low as $20 per hour with some dependencies on your location and the level of services you require. For those looking for more intensive home care arrangements such as daytime, or live-in, discounted weekly rates apply.
Are Your Aides Officially Certified as Home Health Aides in New Jersey?
Absolutely! Beware caregivers who are not! Too many families are swindled or suffer neglect by Craigslist and other want ad caregivers. The elderly are a ripe target for those with less than noble intentions! All our aides come with formal certification and references. Plus you have the supervision of a registered nurse who is available to visit and provide additional medical support if needed.
